Alex 1. Garrido

MD

Alex I. Garrido, MD is a Colombian American physician specializing in Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. Graduated from Medical School from Universidad del Norte, in his native Barranquilla-Colombia, completed Family Medicine Residency and Geriatric Medicine Fellowship from Indiana University-Indianapolis in 2011 and 2012 respectively and has dedicated his professional career to the diagnosis and care of the elderly with memory and movement disorders, besides primary care Geriatric Medicine including all geriatric syndromes. Currently he is completing an executive MBA (Kelley School of Business-Indiana University).

Dr. Garrido has a strong interest in Health Care Industry leadership and has served as Medical Director to multiple Nursing facilities, he is a CMD from PALTC, a fellow of the AAFP, and is an active member of AMA, AMDA, AAFP, and AGS. Dr. Garrido is fluent in Spanish as his native language, and is an active Rotarian helping communities locally and internationally engage with the ideals of Rotary International. Other interests include traveling abroad, fine dining, antique collecting, and cooking. Dr. Garrido is married and has two adult children and a furry son named Lorenzo.
